Leander ISD is proud to name Julyen Sklavo of Leander High School as the LISD Fine Arts Student of the Week.

Julyen is currently in the top LHS Choir ensemble, Lionheart Singers, where he functions as the Tenor 2 section leader. He is able to motivate his peers to achieve new musical goals daily, and you can often hear his positive encouragement for the choir throughout rehearsal.

In addition to his ensemble success, Julyen has participated in the Texas Music Educators Association All State competition. Last year, he ranked in the top ten of his voice part in our region.

Outside of the choral opportunities, Julyen is an IB student and has a genuine desire to learn more about all genres of music. He understands the importance of being a well-rounded musician and has started learning to play the piano.

“Julyen is an exceptional student who goes above and beyond expectations,” LHS Choir Director Spencer Wiley said. “He has initiative and a strong work ethic. I hope he will continue with his musical aspirations through his senior year and beyond.”

Congratulations to Leander High School’s Julyen Sklavo, the LISD Fine Arts Student of the Week.
