Leander High School Senior Christian Swint is the Leander ISD Fine Arts Student of the Week.

Christian has been an active member of choir for six years, participating in both the Running Brushy Middle School and Leander High School Choirs. He has been a Region Choir Member, a Pre-Area Candidate, selected as a national Anthem singer for LHS sporting events, and a member of both the Lionheart Singers (Varsity Mixed Choir) and Leander Legacy (Varsity Show Choir). He has also received LHS Solo and Ensemble Division 1 soloist as well as a featured Outstanding Performer, and qualified for the State Round in May. He also performed this year in Mamma Mia with the LHS Theatre Department.

“When asked to describe Christian Swint, the first thing that comes to mind is ‘Boy Scout’, which makes a lot of sense since he is a real Boy Scout,” Assistant Choir Director Kayla O’Malley said. “He is always dependable, has a great attitude, and is a great leader amongst his peers. He is also the ‘king’ of adding consonant sounds to a phrase.”

When Christian isn’t participating in choir events he leads Scouts as a Senior Patrol Leader, Quartermaster and OA Chapter Chief.
