Leander ISD would like to congratulate Glenn High School’s Grace Simmons for being named the LISD Fine Arts Student of the Month.

The rising junior is actively in the GHS theatre department and is the current President for The Glenn International Thespian Society, Troupe 8500. She was recently seen as Claire Ganz in Glenn’s Fall Show, Rumorsand as Crystal in Glenn’s first Musical, Little Shop of Horrors.  Currently Grace is portraying the role of Siobhan in the region-qualifying one-act play, Curious Incident of Dog in the Night-time. She received All-Star Cast recognition at the district and area for her role and Best Actress at bi-district.

Grace is ranked in the top 10 in her class and is active in youth programs at her church.

“Grace truly finds joy in watching others succeed at the art she calls her passion and shows a humility not found in many high school performers,” said Glenn Theatre Director Melody Morton.

Leander ISD is proud to honor Grace Simmons as the LISD Fine Arts Student of the Week.
