Due to the overwhelming community interest in Leander ISD’s new Early College High School program, the district is extending the application deadline through Sunday, March 20.This will be the only deadline extension for 8th-graders to apply and become part of the legacy class.
The ECHS initiative is an open-enrollment program that blends college and high school coursework, enabling students to earn up to two years of college credit (60 hours) for FREE while enrolled in high school.

“If I didn’t have this program, I wouldn’t feel really prepared for my future plans – I want to be a BWM technician,” Glenn High School student Javier Peña said. “And the fact that there’s a program out there in this district that [prepares students] is just amazing.”
