She’s flying high! Leander ISD CTE Student of the Week Reagan Komendera has soared to a new level of leadership and achievement.

Reagan has received promotion to Cadet Corps Commander for the Leander High School Air Force Junior ROTC program.  The senior has distinguished herself as the Cadet Support Squadron Commander. In that position, she took charge of human relations and logistical matters for over 100 cadets in the program.  As the winner of a $20,000 Air Force Flight Academy Scholarship, Reagan will have the ability to obtain her pilot’s license next summer.

“A person becomes Cadet Corps Commander by sustaining superior leadership and followership performance from the start of their AFJROTC career until their junior year,” program director Jeff Moffitt said. “Reagan has shown that and exemplifies the Air Force core values of integrity, service and excellence.”

Reagan is an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma candidate. By extension, she represents the college prep program as an IB ambassador.  She’s earned membership to National Honor Society, and the mathematics honor society Mu Alpha Theta. Among her leadership and intellect, other talents include avid guitar-playing and acting.

We salute your hard work and dedication, Reagan Komendera–LISD CTE Student of the Week!
