Nothing sheepish about Delanie Taylor! Delanie’s initiative and passion for excellence are leading the flock as Leander ISD CTE Student of the Week!
The Leander High School senior serves as the Leander Future Farmers of America (FFA) Reporter. In her second year as an officer, Delanie writes about chapter events and records activities through words and photos. For the past two years, she has showcased lambs as a member of the Livestock Show team. She also participates in the Veterinary Medical Contest team.
Currently, Delanie is studying the Practicum in Veterinary Medicine Program and interning at New Hope Animal Hospital, while earning her certification as a Level 1 veterinary assistant. As a Level 1 CVA, Delanie could provide basic animal care and client communication working in a clinic.
“Delanie always has a welcoming smile for her fellow classmates,” LHS agriculture science teacher Emily Veraa said. “She shows a passion for what she does and strives to be the best she can be.”
Her sights are set high to work as a licensed veterinary technician or perhaps even become an agriculture teacher, like Veraa.
“Whatever path she chooses, I know Delanie will be amazing in her chosen field.”
Congratulations to LISD CTE Student of the Week Delanie Taylor for her sheer talents in teamwork and leadership!
