Just the Facts! Leander ISD Career and Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Week Tristan Hernandez is making headlines!
The Cedar Park High School Yearbook senior earned top rank, named to the 2021 All-State Journalism staff! For the second year, Tristan is serving as content editor for the Tracks Yearbook staff, co-President of Quill & Scroll Journalism Honor Society, and a member of the Journalism UIL team. In the spring of 2021, he advanced to the State Academic UIL meet; he placed third in Headline writing and sixth in Editorial writing.
“Tristan has been incredibly successful in journalism throughout his high school career, which has been so much fun to be a part of,” Paige Hert, Cedar Park HS Student Media adviser, said. “I’m so happy he is being recognized as an All-State Journalist. He puts in a lot of hours and hard work as a part of the UIL team and the yearbook staff.
“Not only does he have excellent journalism skills, he is also a fabulous leader and editor. His peers look to him for advice and want to work hard for him as their leader. I’m excited to see what he accomplishes the rest of this year!”
As memorable as those precious yearbook-signing messages, Congratulations #1LISD CTE Student of the Week Tristan Hernandez!
