Canyon Ridge Middle School’s Tenor/Bass Choir and Honors Band will perform at the Texas Music Educators Association’s (TMEA) annual convention in February 2021. The virtual event hosts elite performances from across Texas.
Judges listened to performances submitted from all over the state. Auditions consisted of recordings of the group over the past two years. The choir and band will showcase their talents through a video production for an international audience.
“Our tenor/bass choir is the first middle school boys choir from the Austin area to be chosen,” CRMS choir director Courtney Kelly said. “This is one of the highest honors that a choral program in the state of Texas can receive.”
