LISD is ready to welcome students back for another exciting school year on Thursday, Aug. 15. Some friendly reminders are below:

2019–2020 District Calendar

The complete district calendar includes information on student and teacher holidays, testing dates, early release dates and more. Click here to view the 2019–20 district calendar.

Update Your Communications Preferences

SchoolMessenger is the notification platform used by Leander ISD to connect with families and staff through phone, text and email broadcasts.

Leander ISD updated its messaging system to give families more flexibility in setting their contact preferences and view all district and campus Insiders for each of their students in one convenient place.

Student Code of Conduct and Dress Code

The Student Code of Conduct, Parent and Student handbooks, and the LISD dress code are available on the district website

Immunization Info

Immunization requirements for the 2019–20 school year are available on the LISD website. To avoid crowded waiting rooms and long waits, families may visit one of the public health clinics or their family physician to schedule an appointment. More information on immunization requirements

School Visitor Info

Our front receptionists want to create a welcoming environment, while also maintaining processes for our student, teacher, staff and school safety. Please be patient as we implement this change to these campuses. In addition, please:

  • be ready to show your valid, photo identification when entering our school;
  • at schools with a newly renovated front entrance, please know that the door to the reception area will be locked until our receptionist can check you in;
  • at schools with the AiPhone buzz-in system, the receptionist will process visitors requesting access to the campus, as the front doors are locked during school hours
  • wear your visitor badge when in our building and leave the badge with the receptionist when you leave the school building.

Bus Route Information

Leander ISD parents can enter their home address into Infofinderi to look up their child’s route number, pick-up/drop-off times and bus stop locations for the coming school year. Bus routes are subject to change, so LISD parents are strongly encouraged to confirm their child’s bus information prior to the start of school.

Note: Special Education student bus routes are not on Infofinderi. The Transportation team will contact parents individually with a phone call for bus information.

As a reminder, LISD route buses are air-conditioned and many are equipped with seat belts, which students are required to use accordingly to state law. Please visit the LISD knowledge base for the LISD bus rider code of conduct, FAQ’s and more. Trip and replacement buses may not be air-conditioned.

Volunteer Information

All volunteers are required to register in the new EZvolunteer system. Please visit our knowledge base to begin the process or to learn more about how you can get involved in helping our students.

AP Changes Coming for 2019–20

Reminder: The College Board is changing how it offers Advanced Placement (AP) courses and AP exams for the 2019–20 school year. These changes impact when Leander ISD students will register and pay for AP exams.
