At the Leander ISD Board meeting Sept. 21, 2017, the seven educators in Leander ISD to be awarded grants from the A+ Education Foundation were recognized by the Board: Linda Hagen, Cedar Park Middle School; Stephanie Honeycutt, Block House Creek Elementary School; Rebecca Rainer, Steiner Ranch Elementary School; Deena Rosiles, Rutledge Elementary School; Roxanna Soto, Bagdad Elementary School; Jacquetta Thayer, Glenn High School; and Linda Zarsky, Winkley Elementary School.
Hagen’s grant title was “GoFormative: Instant feedback and data tracking to inform instruction,” and the grant totaled $1,000.
Honeycutt’s grant title was “Closing the Reading Gap with the Fountas and Pinnell Leveled Literacy Intervention (LLI) Booster Pack,” and the grant totaled $946.
Rainey’s grant title was “Creating a 7 Habits Library,” and the grant totaled $929.23.
Rosiles’ grant title was “Opening the Doors to Autism: Increasing Language and Engagement in Students with ASD,” and the grant totaled $839.74.
Soto’s grant title was “Project ‘3D’: Discover – Develop – Do (Descrubrir – Desarrollar – Demostrar),” and the grant totaled $939.95.
Thayer’s grant title was “Speech and Debate Resources and Workshops,” and the grant totaled $580.
Zarsky’s grant title was “A Matter of Facts,” and the grant totaled $1,000.
