Leander ISD is pleased to announce Tracie Franco is returning to the district as senior director of transportation. Her accomplishments in Transportation as well as her experience as a leader make her ideal candidate for this position.

“Tracie demonstrates expertise in overseeing transportation operations and maintaining stability amidst organizational changes,” Senior Executive Director of Operations Brandon Evans said. “We are excited about her return and how she can positively contribute to addressing the unique challenges of a rapidly expanding school district while continuing to prioritize exceptional customer service to our families.”

For the past few years, Franco has served as Florence ISD’s director of transportation. Prior to that, she worked in Transportation at Leander ISD for almost 14 years, six of those as assistant director of transportation. A member of the Texas Association of Pupil Transportation (TAPT) and the Central Texas Association of Pupil Transportation (CTAPT), Franco is also involved in the Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO).

“I am very excited to accept the role of senior director of transportation in Leander ISD,” Franco said.  “This opportunity is like coming home for me because 14 years of my 16-year journey in Transportation has been with Leander ISD. I look forward to working with our outstanding transportation staff so that together we can ensure students arrive to and from school safely each and every day, ready to learn.”

Franco replaces Myron Wilson who joined Fort Worth ISD as the Executive Director of Transportation. Her new role with Leander ISD is effective July 10.
