Leander ISD is honored to announce Cassidy Janda from Henry Middle School as the Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week.

Cassidy, an eighth-grade standout on the Lady Hawk cross country, volleyball, soccer and track teams, has helped the  cross country team secure a 2nd-place finish at the district meet. She finished 6th overall at the meet.

In addition to her athletic accomplishments, Cassidy is a member of the National Junior Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and is enrolled in advanced academic classes.

“Cassidy is the type of kid who does whatever is asked of her and more,” Girls Athletic Coordinator Megan Kuehler said. “Even though she is currently in-season for two sports, you will never hear her complain, but instead will only hear her positive energy. The energy she brings to the gym is infectious to her teammates.”

Leander ISD is proud to name Cassidy Janda as the Student-Athlete of the Week.
