Student-Athlete of the Week: April 4, 2022

We’re jumping for joy for Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week Nicholas Grullon!

Nicholas represents Cedar Park High School on the Timberwolf football and track & field teams. His talent has earned him notable achievements. In football, he was named to first team all-district. In track & field last year, Nicholas became a state qualifier in the high jump and a regional qualifier in 4 events. During the 2022 Texas Relays rose to new heights as champion in the high jump. Academically, Nicholas serves on the CPHS Leadership Council for football and makes the A/B honor roll.

“Nic is a steady, hardworking, and respectful young man,” Cedar Park HS Head Track Coach Chance Edwards said. “He tirelessly works at 5 different events in track & field, and has become proficient at all of them. He exemplifies everything we’re looking for in an athlete.  Yes, he is athletic, but he also has the qualities of a leader that we want to see in our programs.”
