Backpack Attack event equips students for new year

Leander ISD’s annual Backpack Attack event provided nearly 1,900 students with backpacks and other school supplies in preparation for the 2018–19 school year.

In partnership with Hill Country Bible Church and For the Children, supplies were distributed Aug. 4 to LISD students, and district staff were on hand to provide information on services available to families. At the end of the event, approximately 1,900 backpacks filled with school supplies where taken home by LISD students.

LISD would like to thank Smile Generation, Chick-fil-A Cedar Park, Cedar Park/Leander Longhorn Lions Club, For the Children, Costco and the staff and volunteers at Hill Country Bible Church for making the event possible. Most importantly, thank you to participating LISD students and families.
