A triple threat, Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week Cate Cloran hits home as an athlete, musician and scholar!

Cate participates on the Four Points Middle School Falcons girls cross country, track and field, and soccer teams. The eighth-grader also plays in the FPMS band’s wind ensemble. Her membership to the National Junior Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes recognizes her strength and determination.

Some of Cate’s highlights from the 2020-2021 school year include placing sixth in the district cross country meet. At this year’s district track & field meet, she placed second in both the 800-meter run and the 300 meter-hurdles. In addition, Cate’s band accolades include recognition as Outstanding Soloist at the 2021 Solo and Ensemble festival. Even more so, she made the A honor roll for the second- through fifth- six-week grading periods.

“Cate truly exhibits the core values of the Falcon athletic program,” FPMS’ girls athletic coordinator Shela Ziska said. “As an exceptional leader, her peers, coaches and teachers highly respect her. Cate has a growth mindset and is always open to learning new things and works extremely hard to continuously improve her athletic skills and knowledge.”

For making a lasting impression throughout the Falcon Nest & beyond, we’re proud to recognize #1LISD Student-Athlete of the Week Cate Cloran.
