With a cool head & a warm heart, Leander ISD Fine Arts Student of the Week Lourdes Hernandez Peraza has proven leadership!

Lourdes attends Four Points Middle School. The eighth-grader serves as vice president of the Falcon Theatre Thespian Troupe. Among her accomplishments, Lourdes qualified for the International Thespian Festival (Thespys) two years running! She earned a Superior rating at “Leave the Light On”. At the district’s middle school theatre fall festival, students had to compete virtually. During the Falcon Theatre fall play, Lourdes took the role of head of marketing. She created and executed the entire campaign for The 39 Steps: A Live Radio Play.

A supportive mentor to theatre rookies, Lourdes offers a friendly shoulder to lean on for veterans, too. On top of her wins, she works hard in all her academic classes.

“Lourdes absolutely blows me away with all that she does and with a smile on her face,” Falcon Theatre director Maria Talbot said. “As a kind and hard-working young lady, she supports her friends and encourages them to be successful. With natural leadership and problem-solving skills, she balances school and personal life like a pro.

“We have been so lucky to have her in our department the last three years, and I know she will be successful in high school and beyond.”

Leander ISD Fine Arts Student of the Week Lourdes Peraza is reaching critical acclaim. Bravo!
