Leander ISD held a dedication ceremony Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022 for its 28th elementary school, Tarvin Elementary School, which opened in Fall 2021. The school’s namesake, Nancy Tarvin, the former executive director of elementary curriculum, retired in 2016 after 25 years of service in Leander ISD.
She believed in developing the whole child and always putting kids first. Tarvin played an instrumental role in improving LISD’s curriculum design, the early childhood program, school design and much more.
