Leadership at its finest, Briana Daughtry claims the prize as Leander ISD Career & Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Week!

The Glenn High School senior represents Glenn Future Farmers of America (FFA) & Leander ISD spectacularly. In both the classroom as well as the community, she takes charge.  Briana serves as Glenn FFA chapter president. She also helped launch cattle exhibition as a part of the inaugural class.

In all parts of the program and classwork, Briana actively participates. For example, she took the personal initiative to go to a recent goat jackpot. Even though she doesn’t have a goat on feed this year, she helped the exhibitors prepare for their first show! These new goat exhibitors appreciated their chapter president not only driving the distance for the show but also getting her hands dirty to help get them ready. What outstanding dedication to her show team!

“Briana truly embodies the passion and diversity of the Glenn FFA,” Glenn HS FFA adviser & Agricultural Science teacher Lochie Hosch said. “To quote businessman and entrepreneur Sam Walton ‘Outstanding leaders go out of their way to boost the self-esteem of their personnel.  If people believe in themselves, it’s amazing what they can accomplish.’”

Outside of Glenn FFA, you can find Briana dominating the court for the Grizzlies girls basketball team!

This #GirlBoss is showing exactly why she’s leading the herd. Congratulations, #1LISD CTE Student of the Week Briana Daughtry.
